North Texas Pioneers presented Easter candy and eggs to Emily‘s Place to help the children have a good Easter. Emily‘s Place is a safe place for women and their children to come to get away from violence in their homes. They can stay up to two years in a comfortable home while getting help to feel secure to live on their own. The club has helped with the children’s Easter egg hunt for several years. It’s a pleasure to see how happy the children are when they receive the candy and eggs.
Cub Scouts of Plano Pack 221 which is charted by the North Texas Pioneers Rotary just had their Pinewood Derby. The derby consists of small wooden cars made by the Cub Scouts and their families. They run on a track and the cars are powered only by gravity. The Cub Scouts are given prizes for the speed of their car and also the design of the car. This is a service project lead by Daniel Long which is fun and entertaining for the club members and also a service for the community and Cub Scouts.
